    Default For you riggers........

changed out the old hot water heater and found an old Slater's telescoping 10' rod behind the deep freeze, bet I have had that thing for 15 or 20 years, it is fiberglass and is in 3 slide inside the main handle sections..... went to grizzly's jig and he handles them, and they also come in 12' and 14' and both are telescoping. $25 + sh..... I am not a rigger but been a couple times and what difference would it make if it is fiberglass or graphite?? the times I went we were watching the tips and the line anyway...... sure would cure everyones carrying and storage problem...... may rig my old one up, remeber using it on bank for spawners and laughing at how they would rattle that thing when they would hit hard.... it's all about fishing..... the how is your choice.

I've got three of those in the basement. Those are what I learned on from my first father in law (yep, I've had a few of em) for rigging on Nimrod in Arkansas. They are tough, but heavy.
The best way to get to where you want to be in the future is to act like you are there TODAY.

They use a lot of telescoping rods on Reelfoot. I am sure the would work fine.
