stl native, welcome to the forum. As to your work tourney, let them all take off to go to the ends of the lake then hook a left and go to the rip rap on the north end of the camp branch marina. If and when they get on the bank, that is always a good place to start. Also, follow that rip rap along the road and hit each side of the bridge. There are some good brush piles on the north and south side of the road. Another close by spot to check out is across the lake to the left of the Crow's Creek Boat Ramp. Find the 1st cove to the left and work it.
Good luck, because they seem to be very late this year and there aren't many being caught yet, but the time is coming soon.

What Mark said (Heck did I actually just say that???Doh) Plus I would pretty much stay of the main lake. Head to the back under either bridge as far as you feel comfortable and look for the warmer water. Weather looks promising for a little surface temp rise.Good luck, think I wait another week Thumbs Up

Great, thanks a lot guys. I know exactly where you are talking about and will start at those spots. I also thought the camp branch docks might have a few hiding underneath them. I've only been East of the bridge on this lake.. what's it like up on the north end in the Lake Platte Park area?
