first time poster here. Went up to camp branch area yesterday evening about 7PM. Caught one small fish about 18 feet down off the dock, nothin at all from shore. Water was pretty murkey from all the wave action over the last couple of days
Don’t know about Rodney, but I’m sure Alex is busy with GRASS! This time it’s the legal kind.:D

Welcome to the board, FQJ, from Kearney, MO. Hope to see you around. Just FYI--and forgive me if you already know about it--a bunch of us from the board are having a little camping get together coming up mid-May at Smithville Lake. There's a bigger one (with more history) at Truman Lake two weeks earlier, so you have some to choose from depending on your schedule. Check out the stickies at the top of the main page.
Also, we like to have friendly, fun tournaments at Smithville several times a year, so watch for those as well.
Hope to get to meet you sometime. There's a lot of great guys on this Missouri board!
Thx Joedog. I'm from Liberty, live off A highway. I've been fishin Smithville for many many years. I would love to come meet some of you guys up there. I saw the sticky's on top of the page. Unfortunately, I'm gonna be in Arkansas second weekend in May for some business and maybe a little fishin. Anyhow, I'm sure I'll run into you at some point. Thanks again for the board hospitality.
Welcome from an almost neighbor - Kearney 92 west side!! I should throw up gang signs or something! :D
Hiya, and me too! Lived on Plattsburg Rd for 12 years...now buying in Smithville, so I hope to meet some of youse guys one of these days...
I spent just a little time in one of the main lake coves today and had absolutely nothing......
I spent the morning at Watkins Mill and caught a bunch of dinks , nothing worth filleting . Water temp was 59-60 and the fish were still in 10-15 fow.

Lots of little ones in Watkins. I usually make a couple of trips every year and do my duty....keeping most every crappie I catch.
