Default Back to reality on truman today

Little rougher day on Truman today with the wind. Put in at Bucksaw after talking to a few CDC guys and fished 4 to 6 rods by myself. Ran up river a couple miles to where I finished yesterday. Caught around 30-35 keeper fish but not near the size as yesterday. Wind picked up so I ran to Cedar creek to where Slayer and Baller were fishing. First 25 fish were shorts. Made a move to shallower water with lots of wind and started catching the bigger fish. Kept 10 for my parents and threw all the others back. So around 50 keepers and about 30-35 shorts today plus one 14 or 15 inch bass. Met and talked with lots of CDC guys and gals. Dabe, Hiya, the JJ's, capt'n hook, Baller and slayer, Bigby and Tommy, stumpthumper and inaboat. So lots of CDC people on the lake today all said it was slower than it had been. Rigging in 20 mph wind is tough when they are biting light. Was great meeting Hiya, Dabe and inaboat for the first time and seeing all the others again. Looks to be a great year on Truman. Can't wait to fish in less than 20 mph winds to see how good it can be. 3 times out thois year and now well over 300 keepers have made there way in my boat. Sure makes up for the times that I struggled in the past learning how to spider rig and all the headaches that came with it. Hope all I have shared with the people that have PM'ed me has helped speed up their learning curve and saved them some headaches. I seen about 20 boats today and about 12-14 of them were spider rigging or two pole trolling. Never seen so many people with rod racks befoe on Truman in one day.

Sounds like a lot of folks braved the wind and weather today. Still trying to make my first trip of the year up there but would like things to be a little better condition wise and everytime I get a chance to make it the weather craps out, wouldn't be that big of a deal if it wasn't such a long trip. Glad you had a good day, hope the others did too. See y'all soon with any luck.

Tommy and I fished until right before the rain hit, I think we were only one shy from having our limits. We had a few nice fish, the biggest was 1.11 but we caught a lot of shorts today. I know one thing I'M TIRED OF THE WIND!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

was good to see and shoot the chit with ya jared... we werent far behind you when you left... we heard that thunder and packed up. caught quite a few fish but not near as fast and furious as last week. we ended up with 28 decent one's. 2 were nice thumper's. seemed to be a bit more scattered. black and pink and blue/chart seemed to be the most productive. thank's jared for the head's up on the wind this morning and calling us to tell us the bad weather was coming. we were at the boat ramp when you called getting out of there, along with 15 other boat's. 2 guy's at the ramp asked us if we wanted their 2 crappie to finish out our limit, we said sure, ed went over there then said "what the hell" they were maybe 7-8 inches long. told them they had to be 9. they had'nt a clue. they could'nt believe we had 28, but from talking to them for a second, did'nt seemed they had a clue with much of anything, lol... glad we were able to get some thump's before the weather came in.

why do today what you can put off til tomorrow, go fishing instead!!!

Good seeing you again Jiggin15 & Inaboat & Bigby & Bullet Good to meet Hiya & Dabe Seen Stumpthumper sitting on his azz in the marina He was smart just hot wind in there Rofl We went down past the cut threw & fished a little creek & had 7 from there & then to cedar 5 from there & couple more spots none from them Loaded up about 12:30 headed home . Talked to Crappiehawg couple times & they were doing pretty good where ever they were Your right about the riggin in the wind its a real pain. Oh ya Mrs JJ caught 9 of the 12 keepers we had & JJ got the dinks out of here way. Pulled off a OSS trick caught a white bass on bare gold hook:D
