    Default Hey Missouri...need some info

Just found out we are getting another grandchild! This will be #12! She is due Oct 9th so...I'm scouting the area for good fishing. They live in north side of Kansas City close to the airport. If there is some good to outstanding fishing that time of year I'll bring my boat and spend a few days fishing. I would suspect we'll take a week vacation and bee there.

As OSS said Smithville is real close. Should be real good about then. The guys up there will help you out with more info. and may even get some offers to fish with them and not have to drag your boat up here. I am sure there would also be a few of us willing to take you out on Truman which is about 2 hours south of there if you can make the time to drive down. Most of us have everything you would need with out even bringing a rod reel or tackle. It is outstanding that time of year. Plenty of time between now and then to line up some trips with people to save you pulling your rig all the way up here. When it gets closer let us know and we will try and get you out on the lake.

Don't turn this offer down. Brushman is one of Smithville's best. He can put you on some hogs up there for sure.

Gator...if you want to catch a bunch of large nice crappie....Brushman is your guy, for sure. If you want a nice tour around the lake where you can learn places NOT to catch fish, I would be at the top of that list, I'm afraid!!!

In all seriousness, there are a bunch of great guys on this thread that fish Smithville Lake alot. We can "hook" you up no worries. Shoot, we are always looking for any excuse to go fishing, it kind of legitimizes our obsession, you might say.

From one g-pa to another, congrats on another addition! We just welcomed our third, so we are a little behind you with 12!

    See you in the fall!!!
I believe in catch and release.....right into the grease!!!!!

Thank you! I'll be in touch when it gets closer to that time. I went on Google Earth and found Smithville Lake. From my daughter's house to Castaways Marina is 20 miles. Sounds like a bunch of fishing to me!
