    Default Smithville still locked up

took a drive up to the lake to check it out and its still covered with ice. but a special thanks to the knucklehead that tried throwing the boulders through the ice at the little platte ramps. tried to get them out but they were stuck in the ice. so when it thaws and if they drop where there at now you will be trying to back your boat trailer over rocks about half the size of a car tire.

Yeah .. somebody made a pretty bonedick move. Feel sorry for the first few trailers to go in.

Thanks for update on Smithville .. can't wait 'til everything thaws.

I was up there Thursday. One of the ramp at Camp Branch is open, but you'd have no place to go but the little marina and/or the camp branch slips. Also, the fish we definitely NOT biting. No one has caught a thing up there so far this year. I did see some tiny little ones this time around which is at least a sign there is life in the lake. It's just be DEAD!

North ramp at Rt. W is open enough to launch and you can go North almost to timber on west side. Should really open up in 1-2 days. Good huntin guys!! Ice is really green and very rotten looking.
