I haven't made it to Rogers yet. I may stop in Wednesday morning after dropping my son off at his moms in nkc. Need to look at waders as well. Just alot to choose from. Guess I'll get an assortment of colors in 1/32, 1/16, 1/8 and a few 1/4.

Rogers in Liberty has all you want. Jigs, line, poles, whatever you need.
I made a trip to Rogers recently and I really wasn't too impressed. I don't like their new store as much as I liked the old one. They seem to be geared more towards bass fishing and hunting and I thought the store layout was odd. They only had a couple of options for the long crappie rods and I didn't care much for what they had. Their supply of standard size ultralight rods was also pretty weak in my opinion. There were two reels I was interested in but they were out of both of them in the size I was looking for. They were out of 1/16 bulk pack crappie jigs with gold hooks. Their supply of tube jigs wasn't what it used to be either. I don't know.... maybe it was because it's February and they haven't stocked up for spring yet. Anyway, I like Everharts in Clinton much better. Just my two cents...

In our government-controlled schools we are taught that Lincoln was our greatest president because his war ended slavery and saved the Union. As usual, the other side of the story – the side that reflects poorly on the government – somehow gets lost. – Richard J. Maybury, The Abe Lincoln Hoax

I stopped in at Rogers today. I can see what you mean. I was surprised to find any BnM poles but they did have a couple (literally a couple) and most were 12'. They did seem to have plenty of jigs- just a little pricey IMO. I think I can get them for less going through someone here. The store layout was very strange. May go back this weekend to buy a pair of waders that I liked.

Nearly every person on this site makes eccellent jigs. I haven't found a dishonest one in the bunch. I read all the posts 1 to 3 times a day and have seen very little negative feed back on anyone.

    couple more questions-
I am mainly going to be fishing Smithville, Watkins Mill, Jacomo/Blue Springs/ Prairie Lee using Jigs and tubes or jigs and minnows. I am going to order from Jason this week. What types of hooks should I order? The options with the sizes I am ordering are:
1/8- size 4,2,or1 in bronze, gold, or red; sickle or regualar
1/16- size 6,8,4,or 2 in bronze, gold, or red; sickle or regular

I was thinking of ordering 25 of each color in gold regular hooks size 2 on the 1/8, and size 4 or 6 regular gold on the 1/16. What would I use a sickle hook for? Tying jigs? Is gold a good choice or would bronze or red be fine or better? I am really new to jigs as you can tell. Thought I'd order each color to see what works for me, then I can order more of what is working.
