    Default Cold day on LOZ

Got up this mornin, went outside.... no way, too stinkin cold.... drank coffe, read the paper....... went back out... no, still too cold..... etc, etc..... finally decided we needed to go fish, cold or no cold, so headed out and got to the Grand Glaize marina at around noon or so. Have never fished there before, went out last weekend and ran the boat around a little and liked it, so we really wanted to go back. Cold and fairly windy.... I've never fished when it is below 40 degrees so this was new territory for me, not sure it ever got above 30, if it did it was not by more than a degree or two. We ended up catching several over brush in 15-20 fow. Didn't catch big numbers, just happy to find and catch some after not wetting a line for a whole bunch of weeks. Ended up bringing home enough to have a nice dinner for 3, and threw back a few dinks too. Nothing big, just eatin size. Blue over white was what we caught most on. Beautiful area, really really enjoyed fishing there..... can't wait to go back and try er again.

    Good fishing all!

Thanks all. It really was fun.

OSS - too funny. I think he would have loved a couple of dogs right about then, it was cold. We finally left the water because he was "starving to death" as he said.

gosh - I agree, it's been too long. We been chomping at the bit to get out, glad we finally did.

bugman - wow thanks, that is too generous. Most definitely we will be coming back down, that area is really nice.

dave55 - yep, I couldn't agree more. that is the good stuff.....can't have too much time on the water.

speck - thanks, it WAS cold....but fun.

    Good fishing all.

Nice work in the cold. At least you caught dinner and that is what is important.

Fished that area in the snow today and it was slow but we stuck it out and hit enough beds to get our limits nothin over 11" but they will be good for supper tonight.
