You order one unit, but two holders and two power connectors, then you will have the gps at the consol with you but no depth gauge, gps only......

Now i see why beagleman has one for driving and one at the trolling motor.
LSL MOnty is right on buy two ram mounts and an extra power cable and you could move it from the front to the back when needed.

The new downscan units are awsome for sure. Hummingbird or Lowrance can't go wrong. I am just use to the Lowrance buttons and controls so I will stick with them. But that new Bird unit looks pretty sweet also.

I have a eagle at the console and a lowrance at my trolling motor. they are pretty much the same unit and I think they are the cheapest crap out there! its time to upgrade! I have a motorguide wireless with a built in transducer, so what is the nicest finder I can use with the built in transducer? can I run a downscan through it? Id love to have downscan up front and side scan at the console, but I aint made of $$$!!! I guess Ill have to settle for 2 downscan units, or one downscan and one nicer traditional unit with gps.
I never can decide what I want when it comes to fishing gadgets. and by the time I decide, something new comes along and I have to rethink the whole thing!! maybe I'll just buy an old crank telephone and use that for a fishfinder! lol

I have a Minn Kota with the built in transducer and it sucks, not the motor but the transducer, I would recomend getting a regular transducer.

I kinda think the built in 'ducer on my motorguide isn't all that great either, but I run the mo river and asian carp are good at removing plastic things off the front of my boat! still trying to stick with the built in unit but if I have to change, I will.

I love the built in transducer in my Motorguide but when using it it does not have water temp. I do not think the new downscan by Lowrance or hummingbird will allow you to use the one in the trolling motor. It will have to be added on using a clamp or zipties.

my motorguide does have water temp, built in, but it seems to read too warm when I run the motor for awhile. my front unit never seems to agree with the rear fishfinder in any way.
does anyone know exactly how fancy I can go with the built in unit?
