Sounds like a great idea to me, I'm sure that a lot of us understand the basic concepts, but not much more.

I'd love it. Something that I been interested in learnin but never had the chance. Great idea.
We do not want the gift of a fish; neither do we expect a lesson on fishing; what we direly need is a chance to fish

Get yourself a couple of hi-tech or perrotti 4 rod holders 8 14' rods(ozark is my preference) 2 pedistal bases,2 13" seat poles,2 seats and you're all set.

Sorry to hijack, but I had couple questions about spidder rigging myself. What size main line do you use and what size for rig? Also, what's the shortest rod that will work for spider rigging? I've got some 8.5' BPS Microlite rods that I've always used for panfish and trout fishing already and just curious if that would be long enough.

I use 10lb throughout the rig,10'-12' poles will work in stained/muddy water but i prefer 14' overall to get the baits away from the boat you can even go 16'+ but they tend to become work.

If you are fishing deep, rod length isnt too crucial. Just make sure it stays out of the trolling motor. If you are fishing shallow or in clear water, a longer rod will keep from spooking the fish as badly. Plus 1 on the Hi Tek rod holders. Best I have ever used. I prefer B&M Pro Staff Trolling rods. They are sensetive enough to detect light bites but have plenty of backbone. I'll usually rig a weight on bottom then a hook or jig on a loop knot about 12-18 inches above the weight then another hook or jig on a loop knot about 12-18 inches above the lower one. The size of the weight depends on depth, wind, trolling speed, how light they are biting, ect. Usually anywhere between 1/4 oz to 3 ounces.
