Gotta love those blacks from Tebo. I may just have to give those a try soon. Good job.

Nice day. That is a picture of a couple nice fish from the Tebo arm. Winter seems like the best time over there for the bigger fish. Not sure where they go in spring and summer. I sure like to see all these pictures of the black crapie ratio compared to the whites. This last year has been great for black crappie on Truman. I hope it stays that way. Two falls ago I caught more black crappie on LOZ during 3 days of camp than I had in 20 years on Truman. But this year I think the fiesty dang blacks have been jumping over the dam at Warsaw. Started catching a bunch this spring spider riging down from Bucksaw and just thought it was a fluke. Then they stayed steady as the dipping bite went on. I had not been for a while but last week we caught around 75 fish and I would say they were half black crappie with an attitude and half white. I kept thinking they were a white bass. But nope just a hard thump and pull from a black. Congrats on a good day.

Don't know what it is about black fish but they seem to prefer colder water temps,i catch em all year but its always better for size and numbers from nov-mar,that at least is one good thing about winter.

Just seemed like up here we never caught a great amount of them until this year for me anyway. But the mst of them did come rigging for prespawn fish and a lot of these pictures the last 2 or 3 weeks have shown a lot of blacks. So cold water may have something to do with it. Do they head for the deeper colder water in summer time I wonder. I sure like to catch them for sure. Jigging tournaments had that 2.02 black for big fish during the first Crappie Masters tournament on Truman this year. Think about the thump that big black would have given. The dang 9 to 12 inch ones last week would smack it hard.

They must stay deep in the summer we pulled cranks as deep as 25' all summer where the black fish live on loz and never could get on em,i'm even more suprised we couldn't catch big blacks shootin docks this summer it looks like that would be prime time but the cold water is 10 to 1 better.
