    Default Bull Shoals 11-2-10

I went to Bull today about 9 am and fished until noon. I caught 15 crappie, 9 were keepers the biggest being 11 1/2". They were on the flats today and hanging close to the brush but the bite was good. I'm still using the cajun cricket baby shad by Bobby Garland. Hopefully I will get to go another morning this week.

I am glad to hear of some one catching fish. I fish the Bull often and lately it has been tough. I fish from Elbow west to Beaver Creek. Sounds like I am going to have to change locations.

I usually put in at Spring Creek on the Theodosia arm of the lake near Pontiac. The temp. has been from 68 to 74 and I was catching the fish in 10 ft. I used to fish all parts of Bull Shoals and decided to stick with this area and try to learn it. I also like the Big Creek arm it has a lot of good crappie fishing in it. If the water level will hold close to where it is at now it should be a good winter for fishing.

Thanks for putting some posts on Bull.
I fish Cedar Creek in the Spring. I don't get a lot of fish but I've caught more 1 3/4lb fish in Bull Shoals than I have on any other lake in the US.
Theodosia is 60 winding miles down 160 from me so we don't get over there. I'm about tuckered out by the time I reach kissee mills.
Good luck and keep us posted.
