from what I've heard ,Wheatland,Lightfoot, and Nemo in suppose to stay open.I went wed.evening and still could put in at Bolivar landing.those fish don't want to leave their homes,we caught fish from 6 in. to maybe 4 ft. deep. There is fish on every stump and alot of times more than one.We have'nt got to fish a hundred yards of water the last few times we went out.

Nemo, Wheatland and Lightfoot should all stay open, we couldn't find the original construction drawing for Bolivar but last friday I put on waders and waded out enough to know it was still useable. However every ramp has somewhat of a "blowpile" at the end of it. The one at wheatland was beginning to be visable below the waterline on friday. We plan to get out as soon as we can to try to clean the blowpiles so you can still launch.

According to the State Park folks the one at the Marina is closed, but the other one is still useable.

FYI we will begin cutting back the outflows today at 1300 from 1000 CFS to 500 CFS, Wed to 250 CFS, Thurs to 100 CFS and Fri to 50 CFS. Barring any heavy rainfall we should be at our target of 834.0 or very close. On Monday we will flush the stilling basin, MDC will shock and remove as many fish as they can, then the outflow will go to ZERO, for approximately 10 days while a coffer dam and bypass system is installed. After than max outflow will be 100 CFS or so for duration of project so any rain we receive is likely to begin to refill the lake to normal and above.

Ramp update. We got a crew to Wheatland Landing ramp and cleaned out the big rocks that were eating props, it should be good. Working on getting crew to Nemo, Lightfoot and Bolivar.

Thanks for the info. I will probably make a trip Saturday or Monday. I'll launch at Bolivar or Lightfoot. Keep us posted.

What about ramp at the State Park Marina? The ramp was beginning to form a hole in the middle. I would think this would be a good time to repair any ramp where the concrete needs a little repair.

The State Park Marina ramp is currently closed according the The Pomme de Terre State Park Supt. I have not heard from them if they have any plans to make repairs.

Hopefully I will have an operator and loader out to Nemo today to clean out the lanes there. It is still useable if you are careful. All of the gravel ramps around the lake have amazing large "blow holes" and "blow piles" at the end of them, and most of the small concrete ramps have a similar "blowhole/pile" along with a sharp drop off at the ends which are notorious for catching a trailer axle, some of those are being repaired, or being re-graded although many I have not heard from recently. Our transport truck is currently down for repairs so we have to road the big rubber tire loader to the ramp to clean them off, takes some time to get it there and much farther than Nemo or Wheatland from the dam is a LONG way to drive that thing.

On the plus side especially on the upper end it seems like everyone is catching crappie, and if you have a canoe or kayak and are willing to drag over a gravel bar or two you can access some of the very upper end pools which seem to be full of fish but the shad escaped back to the lake and the fish are hungry!!
