I have not fished twain in a couple of weeks, but did well on bandits on the north side of the lake around indian creek. that said, I usually fish the west side of the lake by slow driftin along bluffs with minnows and nibbles on a jig. watch for shad balls, the crappie will be near. if your around the south fork resort, stop in and pick thier brains. those folks will know where they been biting.

With the water on the rise, I would start focusing on shallower water........ crappie and other game fish should be chasing the bait balls up on the flats and shallower water overall. If you are going to stop in at South Fork Resort, you might as well put in at either South Fork Ramp or Route U..... Route U Ramp gives you quick access to all of the upper arms of the lake and it's not that far of a run to South Point's stomping grounds.

the junction carries a good selection of bandit crankbaits as does bass pro or cabelas.I use the 300 series in orange crush, fire tiger, shad colors and craw colors. for more tips see the "pullin cranks" thread in the main forum. Ive only pulled cranks at twain a few times, but it seems to work well when minners or jigs don,t. I would definatly look for bigger fish shallow first. maybe 3ft to 6ft down at the banks or over flooded willows. or look for the 20-30 ft flats on the stick-ups, start at 3ft deep and work your way down. the key is schools of baitfish.
