The bad thing about PL is that the fishing can really turn on around dusk, which is the same time they lock the gate and you have to leave. I've received a couple warning tickets for this.

I wish they'd change that, after all it is a Jackson County lake that we pay for, so you'd think it'd be open for fishing at all times like the others.

If someone on here has the power to change that, please do so.

You ain't kidding. Right around Dusk and they heard you out like a bunch of cattle. I like that whole area " Blue Springs Lake, Jacomo and Prairie Lee".... I wonder why they have to shut it down from dusk till dawn????? Seems silly to me and your right, the tax payers pay for it why keep us out......

Prairie Lee used to be open all night but too many people were partying on the lake, messing with homeowners properties, and just making general @$$'$ of them selves. I can't say for sure that it was because of the million dollar homes that started going up on the far side of the lake, but that was about the time the county stepped in and started ushering people out at dusk.
Remember, its the second mouse that gets the cheese.

Makes sense, I wanted to say that was probably the issue but I didn't know for sure.
