Nice work and dedication Monty. "Dude you are ate up!" This is what my son would say. I don't keep mine as detailed as you but what I do is take pictures and put them in folders by month, lake and date and go back and look through them. Helps me to know how many were caught and I usually can remember where. I don't do this as much any more but I use to write on my lake maps to remember spots what was caught etc... Now I mostly mark it with my GPS.

I use GPS. If I did log, it'd be to track what area I was in. It would take a lot of smarts to get usable data out of the logs. By that, I mean scientific data. From the reading I have done it seems like one of the key components to log would be barometer readings. Barometric pressure appears to have the most significant effect on the fish, so logging that along with the results would seem to give you a better window into what's going on.

Monty, whatever you do certainly appears to work because I've never seen you scratching your head, and not catching fish. Ron is usually the one that has a bewildered as you continue to swing them in the boat. :D

My notes have the previous three days weather as well.
I try to line up a pattern. The bad deal is I get into a rut and seldom fish new areas looking for new places and patterns. Of course with work and kids and activities, when I'm on the water, I go to where I think I have the best chance of putting fish in the boat in the short period of time available.

Not what I was wanting to hear.
Gonna fish another "unmentionable" species in the morning. Hope the top water bite is good.

Sorry about the luck. At least Ron can boast that he did just as well as you did.
