    Default made it back

from minnesota in one piece. man what a awesome state, don't think i ran into one person that would'nt sit there and bs with ya all day. the walleye bite was really slow, talked to lot's of local's and they gave up some spot's but said it had been tough the last few week's. but if we wanted to catch smallie's, pitch the dock's. we did manage a few walleye, but really slow, i caught one a little over 5 lb's but could'nt keep it. half inch shy of 26 inche's after a day and a half we said let's hit the docks, my buddy and mine's first cast under a dock we caught a double. did'nt fish for anything else the next four day's. all we used were 3 inch bitsy tube's with a split shot so we could skip them underneath the dock's. lot's of site fishing which was a blast. we brought so much tackle and all we needed were hook's, gitzet's, and split shot's... crappie were biting like crazy but we refrained fishing for them the weather was perfect lite wind's and overcast almost the whole time. we figured we caught between 50-75 smallie's a day. almost every dock was holding a couple. the lake was set up like loz (thought of you bugman) endless amount of dock's. most the fish were chunk's averaging 2 1/2 to 3 lb's. i caught a personal best 4.9 which was quite a fight. only complaint was cabin wasnt seclusive at all but we dealt with it. werent at the cabin but to take a little lunch break. deleted all my pic's on my camera, over 1,000 pic's! i was sick but with the help of joedog was able to recover all of them. man vacation's go to quick i tell ya. gonna miss that hard pulling tug of a smallie. here are a couple pic's. oh and we ate like king's every night as you can see, we had silver but we did'nt need any stinking silverware. well for the meat anyway's:D

why do today what you can put off til tomorrow, go fishing instead!!!

Welcome back. Sounds like you had an awesome vacation and no shortage of protein in the meal plan:D
Yep, it's hard to beat the tug of a good size Smallie! I caught a few in the 3+ range down by Table Rock Dam last fall, and they sure were scrappers! Caught a small one underneath a school of Whites near the middle of the lake over 100 feet of water! Never thought I would see one that adventurous, but guess hunger rules.
