Default baller and slayer finally got out

and got our butt's kicked... was really wanting to go to glen elder but just to far especially for a day trip. so we headed to good ol toronto. met my buddy and his son down there. was on the water at 5:30 fished til 2:30. between the four of us not one crappie bite. we gave it our best and pulled out all 1 of our trick's and still nada. i caught one white bass and ed caught a snake man i hate those thing's especially copper head's! but we had a good time, lot's of laugh's but could'nt believe we could'nt catch at least one dumb fish in about 8 hour's fishing. but that's wat keep's us humble. you talk about good friend's my buddy jerry cooked us a shoreline lunch. it was great, nice tender steak's, and we even skipped some rock's like little kid's you should of seen old baller having a ball doing it, fun time's! except for the storm and wind that chased us off the water. it almost got ugy! hope you all had better luck than us catching. ed and i were talking that we should prolly invite jerry to go on all our fishing trip's cuz he one alrite

Had a few days like that myself (we all have for that matter), just makes it all the more fun when you get into them good. Sounds like you still had fun, that really is the important part.

well as a matter of fact, hear's a pic, i also recorded it on my camera but cant figure out how to post the video, and also ol eddie skipping rock's with jerry's son, fun site to see ed doing something other than working or wondering if he's gonna run for mayor in buckner in 2012 not sure what kind of snake but they said it was poisonous but to me all snakes are poisonous, they are my weakness, among a lot of other thing's

Looks like a common northern water snake to me. Like you, I treat em all like they are poisonous.

What a freaky thing to catch! Ugh! I hate snakes!

Too bad about the crappie being tight-lipped. I was beginning to think Toronto was The Promised Land. I know after that crazy group trip last year you said there were days like that even on Toronto but....

There's something to be said about fishing with friends. Most of the time, catching fish is really just a bonus, and it's still worth the trip just being out!

Glad you got out even though it was a bad fishing day!

thanx everyone! you are all right it's just a bonus catching some fish when you get to have a fun day on the water with friend's that's what is all about. those damn crappie are finicky. beagle and i were talking on the phone about how you can give it 8 solid hour's and not even snag one. our theory there is a magnetic forcefield someday's which keep the crappie from being able to open there mouth. or could be the fisherman, that's my story and i'm sticking to it!
