I think your choices are limited, but my preference has always been for Bucksaw, they have a hotel, marina, bait, resturant and nice staff.
Anyone know of any lodging directly on the water on Truman Lake? Just got back from Branson doing some trout fishing and at our lodge there we can walk out our room and we're 50 feet from our dock and boat? I guess a second question would be in everybodies experience where have you had the best luck catching crappie and catfish? We usually go to the docks right below the dam at Truman but would like to plan a week stay. We will be on a boat so bank fishing isn't any concern, just the best place where boating and fishing are proven. Thanks in advance for the advice!

Bucksaw has rooms on the water built on a dock so you walk out your door and theres the water.
There will be days when the fishing is better than one's most optimistic forecast, others when it is far worse. Either is a gain over just staying home.
We have a group that stays in those kitchenettes every spring on the water at Bucksaw and they are extremely nice. I have never been anywhere that is as accommodating as they are and very helpful when it comes to putting you on the fish. I would highly recommend anyone to stay there if they are looking for a place to go.

For the past 4 years a group of us have been staying at Parkside Cabins. It's not right on the water, but you are literally 5 minutes from the State Park ramp, as well as smack dab in the middle of the lake, which makes trailering much easier so you can adjust to find the bite.
Tim and his family & staff are top notch and have electric hookups, full General Store, bait, tackle, etc......

If anyone is looking for a great lodge that's right on the water for rainbow trout I highly recommend Tanglewood Lodge in Branson! The owner is onsite and its ultra convenient to fish whether boating or night fishing from the boat dock.
the kitchenettes are on the water ,you can walk out the frount door and drop a line in you park your boat at your front door very nice
A gun, like any other source of power, is a force for either good or evil, being neither in itself, but dependent upon those who possess it
From an old movie I saw
Bucksaw, great people and can help you catch some fish.
Kevin Rogers-
My post from last night must not have worked from my phone. But yes Bucksaw is the place to be. You can not get any closer to the water. I have not stayed in them but the Kitchenette's are new. Can't ask for better people to help you out than Richard and the gang at the marina.
