Gateway is the old Dunn's store in St. Peters. They have made some nice improvements since taking over. If you're in town to go to BPS, then it's worth your while to stop in and take a peak.

Thanks Rattler, I heard it had changed hands but not name. If you say it got better they didnt have to do much for me. To me it was already a good store and good prices.

    Default Dunn's

I heard the new owner was a customer that checked things out closely while he was just a "Joe Schmo cusomer". He took notes as to who were the good customer service folks and who weren't. When he took it over, he kept the good personnel and, the rest- he made it worthwhile for them to find employment elsewhere LOL! I could definitely relate to his way of doing business. I was in the old Dunn's store and the guys behind the counter were too busy BS-ing with their buddies to give buying customers a box of damn shells or cartridges. Working at an outdoor retail store should mean treating everyone equally and not make people wait for your personal conversation to finish before they can get their crap and get on their way. I've been to Gateway Outfitters several times since the switch and I believe it has improved, somewhat.
