Early Camp Exit but Had to try the Ville in the rain

Left Camp a Day early, got unpacked so nothing else to do but try Smithville in the rain. Caught more keepers in my first 20 minutes than 3 1/2 days on Truman. Still not much for size, 9 1/2 might have been the biggest with a few squeakers. All on main lake, up North looked like the Truman chocolate milk we just came from. Water temps about the same from 61 to 64.5. Ended with 8 and very spotty to say the least. Hope not another terrible spawn fishing year like the last two but we will see. Hopefully tonight's rain don't mess it up even more?

Bummer about camp, but glad you got out and got a few. I haven’t been out for a couple weeks.
