Thread: Favorite Colored Head

Why isn't "blonde" on your list? I've always been partial to blonde heads.

I voted white but change body colors more than jig head colors. Orange seems to work also. (Heck they all work sometimes) I keep using them even when all the paint chips off.

I vote for blonde also.

i like the Chart. but have never used Red... i will have to give that one a try.

My new go to color is Ruby Slipper. It is a dark red with lots of lighter or brighter colored red glitter in it. This is not he greatest picture of it but may get the idea. My number one seller on my tied jigs has been Orange by a long shot. So I may need to use it a little more than I have in the past but I sure did well with this Ruby Slipper this last year.

Ya that blaze orange or hot orange is my best seller by far. I never used it much but I have people wanting it with all sorts of differant body and tail color combos. Some will order 100 jigs and all be orange head but may have 10 differant body and tail combos. So it has to work or at least for some people.

Do a lot of experimenting and think I have some preferences depending on water clarity, sunlight penetration, fishing pressure, etc. but unless I've got confidence in it might as well be fishing with dough balls.
