I will use whatever will work, but seem to always start with red, so that must be my favorite!

Hope you don't mind a La. boy chiming in. I mostly use pink heads. When not using pink I use orange. Most times the pink out fishes the orange even when using the same jig bodies. Never used to use painted head and one day when I couldn't get a bite I watched 2 guys fishing pink head tear the slabs up. I was using the same jig so that didn't seem to be the problem....

I like chartreuse the best , although I have caught a bunch of crappie using pink heads with a white grub.

I voted Chartreuse but actually I use RED most of the time. These two colors are what I use 90% of the time. Always going to try something else but you know how that goes!
