Nice report...On a day like this, He looks like a 14 incher! Looks like he's just barely holding on.
First stop brush pile east of camp branch bridge and caught a keeper the first drop before I even got my second line down. Only a 9 ¼ but I thought it’s on, boy was I wrong. Worked the pile over for another 10 min – Nothing!
Second stop a pile down by the dam, first drop short, second drop short and the third drop a double. One keeper and one short – Now it’s on. Nope 15 more min and four more shorts.
It was pretty much the tone for the day. I did catch fish over every pile I fished except one which was by far the best looking one on the graph. I guess the bank foreclosed on that property.
About the only other thing I tried was sail boat cove docks, but it was like the Dead Sea (I just want to see if Jake bites and goes over there to give it a shot). Only saw one other boat on the lake and he wasn’t catching any keepers either. At least that’s what he told me.
The lake was normal pool, dirty/stained, 44 degree surface temp and easy to find a parking spot. I took a pic of the first MONSTER fish.
Great talking to all of you last night and hope you guys have better luck this weekend. It should get better but who knows. I think I’m ready to give Kansas a shot.
