    Yup, that was me. Will probably use that cove more often... close to the launch but also a safety factor in cold weather... particularly for a solo fisherman.
    What kind of boat do you have? I can see the boat farther than the hat!

    The north part of the lake does warm first. I found some 12-13" fish last March a couple of miles below the Plattsburg free ramp. Usually start at "W" and enjoy the ride to "Cooks Country"... That's what I've started calling it since he seems to know the area so well.

    Friday looks to be the day to be on the water. I am down in OKC (went to BPS yesterday, can't wait for the one in Independence to open up) this week which I don't mind since I am missing the "great" weather you guys are having in KC. Maybe this cold weather will finally school the big fish up in Shady Hollow.

    Hmm... It DOES look good ... and I don't work Fridays...

    Do you (any of you) find that the fish still bite better early/late even in the winter?
    How early?... So tempting to stay home with hot coffee and a warm sweet roll when there's frost on the grass. You KNOW how cold the trailer hitch is!

    I have found the early morning bite slow-up to 9 a.m.,then they seem to turn on till 11.30 or so.Don't have much afternoon experience,I'm off the water by noon most days.
