    Smile Bull Shoals

I have finally been relived of my baby sitting duties. I got back on the water last Sunday but it was a typical cold front day. The bite was slow, did manage to catch a few lmb, smb and one small walleye. I didn't catch any crappie. I saw long strings of fish from 5 to 20 ft. down but don't know what they were. Had fun any way. Any one been fishing down here?

Talked to a friend last night.....Said they put in at beaver creek and fished toward K-dock,,,Not sure exactly, but were trolling and caught a 9, & 6 & 5 pound walleye, using wiggly warts and and # 5 shad raps. Also caught some crappie trolling. This was Couple weeks ago.
I just KNOW it was a big one!!!

I went back to beaver creek yesterday and caught 8 crappie 1 whitebass and 1 bluegill. I was spider rigging went through 4 doz. minnows in about 2 1/2 hours. Most of the minnows went to the Gar they just wouldn't leave me alone. 2' gar 12' pole what a blast. never landed one but they would make runs and then pull off. 4 crappie were over 13'' the others around 11''. Tried trolling had some hits but didn't land anything. Around noon the place filled up with waverunners and boats pulling tubes. Got off just before the sky opened up.
