been using it for over 40 years no reason to change and it is lightin' fast.....just in the past few years them dam jig makers are using smaller eyes in the jigs........
I started using a loop knot this year after seeing a YouTube video. Some Pro - I think Wally Marshall - demonstrated a loop knot. He liked the knot because it was easy to do, very quick, and gave his jig a natural horizontal presentation in the water. Here's an interesting link to different kinds of fishingknots (Grog's Fishing Knots Index). I like the clinch knot for catfishing.

Alex, you ask really good questions. My favorite by far is the palomar. Use it for everything. Strongest knot going in my opinion.
Palomar is the knot i use the most to.(fast & strong)

Health nuts are going to feel stupid someday, lying in hospitals dying of nothing.
Thank you Sir. I just got an inquisitive mind that can't stop thinking about fishing. Don't know if that's good or bad. I find it very distractive when I've got about 1000 things to do at work and all I'm thinking about is, "When will OSS post another picture of what he caught that morning."
