Man, poor ole Duckhunter ain't got a chance if he has to go that fast. Ain't that right Bigger? 3.2mph? Heck, that's twice as fast as DH drives TO the ramp in his truck. LOL.

I use the Trolling Motor and the GPS tells me I'm running between 1.6 to 1.9 MPH. That seems to be the best for me catching fish. Got into the Cranks last year and it works quiet well. The color of the lure changes each time except for one color that works every time.....

Hard to find one now I think, but remember back when nearly all baitcasters'
levelwinds still moved when they were in freespool? Well I came across some
old postings about trolling, and they were referencing how far back they
were running the lures by how many passes of the levelwind.

I always said even though it's nice to know the actual feet, in particular
if you're using a depth chart, - just being able to repeat what you were
doing is probably the most important part. So if any of you guys got some
vintage 4500 or 5500C's layin around,
that might be a good alternative to linecounters.

an speakin of actual feet, how many of you that use linecounters have checked them
with something like a 100' steel tape? Ok, I admit it, I was REAL bored one day and
checked mine. Found out that I was only actually letting out something like 93'
when the counter said 100. Asked the guys on WC and they said fill the spool fuller -
it worked. Full to within say 1/32" of the spool lip, they read right on. They also told
me line diameter makes a difference.
