Default What creates such big crappie...

in Arkabutla, Sardis, Enid, and Grenada? Having only fished Arkabutla for a year now, I have never seen such big fish on a consistant basis. Not that I catch fish all the time, but when I do they are monsters. Fished today with 6 large fish and 2 more keepers. Fished 5' in 8' near Mussacunna.

Mississippi is #1 in human obesity. It must just carry over into the fish as well....eating too many fries and hanging in the crappie condo without exercise will help put the weight on quick.:o

The limited diet I have for the Butla crappie of 7 dozen minnows every Saturday and repeat it on Sunday seems to help. They get zero exercise when I slow troll and put the minnow on their nose. I guess it can best be explained by saying the crappie in Butla anorexia is in remission unlike Lakeview, Tunica and Horseshoe. I didn't get to feed them last weekend and with the wind and weather report this weekend it not looking good.

You have to take into consideration that a lot of people just like Wannabe cannot catch them...therefore these fish get a chance to grow big. :D
I have spent most my life fishing........the rest I wasted.

That being the case, I predict a growth spurt in Grenada any minute now.

A lot like the old Wannabe... except with fewer bad words. And Karate chop action. But, yes, still purtier than you.
