Don't know about ya'll, but I'm ready for 80 degree days and 60 degree nights with no more rainfall. Last spring i thought was a fluke, but this one has it outdone. Yeah, I'm griping. High muddy water must not be enough, so Monday night we'll get frost!!!!!!!!!!!!! I'm going beserk down here trying to think of a place to fish without driving 100 miles. To heck with the spawn, let's get on with some "regular" fishing.

Man I am so tired of this wind, makes spider-rigging the creek impossible.

    AMEN!!!!!

I'm going crazy up here. In years past high water was great even with the winds because you could throw on some waders and haul butt. This year I'm struggling to find fish in any way!

    Cool Crazy Weather

Im with you on that John, had A/C on last night and got the heat on this am. I never have been a big spawn freak any how, lakes get to crowded with people that think thats the only time to catch crappie. Probably wont get good around here till middle of next month to the middle of june.

As a general rule, I'm pretty patient, but this is worse than a 3 day drunk and a week hangover. Pstone and I were talking the other day about where to go to find a few. We couldn't come up with but one option-------wait it out. Dang, I haven't set the hook in a good crappie in 4 weeks.!!!!!!!!!!! Desperation has done took over around my house. Miss Linda is ready to kick me out.

yep...i fish tunica more than anything and 20-25 FEET higher than it normally is this time of year. My cabin basement has 6 feet of water in it...highest it's been since '97. Might not be able to fish it right until JUNE. Spawn? what spawn.... son's baseball games and turkey hunting for me until things calm down..

Hey Averie. The last time I was out at the cutoff the river was around 27'. Water was about 2 feet from the top of Kingstons ramp. I'm guessin' it's at the levee now? Still projected to rise .1" per day, "no crest yet forecast".

It's been 4 weeks since my last fish. 2 pounder at Lakeview...and I don't really like that lake. It might be the only one that's accessible right now. That is, if you can beat the wind and find a place to park.

Wind for Sunday updated to 15 to 25. I am taking Navy Crappie to Enid Sunday, maybe we can find some slick water in the some of the creeks. If we can't I will break out the chains.
