When I fished there a lot years ago, pre drain, they had a lot of hybrid stripes in there. Was told it was an attempt to control gizzard shad.
Those dudes could wreck some crappie tackle! I was a side puller at that time and used small baitcast reels. A hybrid pulled my ex-wifes thumb up under the crossbar when it hit and she tried to thumb the spool North Mississippi Lake Search
I hear now they have put walleye in there. Limit of one per day. Almost makes me wanna go try it again just for that!
