    Default All this rain

I guess all this rain is going to effect crappie fishing for a week or more. Grenada should come up quite a bit from all this rain. Anyone have thoughts on it?

The Pearl River in Jackson has already hit flood stage (24’), and Ross Barnett Reservoir was already at least a foot higher than normal for this time of year. I expect a huge current to run through The Rez until the Pearl River drops back below flood stage, since it is expected to crest at 31.5’ and stay there until next week.

I recorded the MVK report at 6 pm Sunday just as the first wave of rain started. Today at 9 am Sardis is up 1.90", Enid 4.28", Nader 6.63". All 3 have their gates closed. Butla is releasing 3636 cfs. Light rain for a few more hours and then a total of runoff to add to the levels.
A video of Nader showed up on facebook yesterday. The Yalobusha River and Batupan Bogue have backed up and flooded the spillway, campground and day use area.

    4/12 8am from Sunday's reading. Sardis is up 2.74", Enid 5.38", Nader 8.99"
Highway 8 East is impassible at the bridge near Providence Road. All traffic needs to find an alternate route.

I went to Mossy. The whole landing was completely submerged and there was 2 trees laying across it in the water. It will take a tractor to get them out. Guess I'll go to Bryant tomorrow. Will it be worth the trip. Should I wait a week or two?

I’d wait a few days but Bryant be as good as any in Grenada. Then again, I’m not waiting so don’t listen to me.

A lot like the old Wannabe... except with fewer bad words. And Karate chop action. But, yes, still purtier than you.

I went to Bryant this morning.
The water was very high. No body was catching any thing except for those who were wading. Looks like it will take 3or4 days to settle down.

I went to the Rez this morning and saw this much water at one of three Twin Harbor ramps. I kept 11 crappie and 2 catfish. There was a lot of debris in the water.

The MDWFP has closed Wolf lake because of flooding. Looks like fishing is not going to be any good for a while. I went to Grenada Saturday. The water was incredibly high. No one in boats did any good. They did good wading. I don't have good waders. Don't think I want to pay $100. I like fishing from my boat.
