Shoulda held off for 27.
Fished Enid. Water temp 38 on main lake. Warner as you got to creeks, saw as high at 47. Super spooky fog. Pretty sure there were some haints out there watching me. Managed 7 keepers but had to swap jigs a bunch to find something they would eat. Even at that, only about 1 in 10 would even glance at it. And 1 in 5 of those would take a poke at it. Big fish of 1.87.
Still, for a 3 hour trip after such a long break, I’ll take it. I was starting to get the shakes.

A lot like the old Wannabe... except with fewer bad words. And Karate chop action. But, yes, still purtier than you.

Your confidence is misplaced. Went back for revenge this am and revenge was had all right…by the fish. 3 hours in the steady mist and spitting rain and never got a bump or even a fish that I thought looked at the jig.
I’m waiting for February. I’m
Sure that will be my month. Well…I hope. Ok, I’m praying.

No LS here but I'm also waiting until Feb to start fishing again. Besides, too muddy anyway. Raining practically every day here.

Been hard down here in Southeran Louisiana too. Heavy rain has blown up all the bayous and rivers. Water flows of almost 3 feet per second, water temps in the low 40’s, and water that looks like my grand kids chocolate milk makes for rough conditions. Conditions will improve and I will be back out there chasing the elusive Sacalait as soon as it does.
Bon Temps !!
