I love okra, fried, pickled or even boiled. Just figured at a buck a pound couldn't expect to much. Heck that's watermelon price per weight. Even out of those 35 pounds if you can salvage 10 sounds like your doing good Canebreaker. I haven't seen the 1st good homegrown tomato this year. Gotten a few squash and zukini donated the last week though. Beggars can't be choosers I reckon Wake up gewbers

Too busy with kids’ activities (back in school, too) and work to go fishing. Also too hot for me right now.

Okra is snot on a bush.

    Change my mind.

Ps. I dress just fine, but my gewberishness just bleeds through.

A lot like the old Wannabe... except with fewer bad words. And Karate chop action. But, yes, still purtier than you.

Can’t argue with that. If I was gonna have to eat it, I’d want it fried. But I’d be tempted to try to feed it to the dog under the table or something

Seems the breaded okra that can be bought at stores and restaurants is always tender. Lot of large slices in the order. I like it and then again I don't, always seems greasy. I wondered what variety the okra was or their process. A piece with the stem is tender. What I've grown had to be harvested before it got 3 inches long or it would be tough. This I got is a mix of spineless and dwarf. First time dealing with dwarf.

I've tried the Ripley, Grainger and AR tomatoes. They are grown in hot houses and don't have very much flavor. I see some home grown on marketplace, but $4 per lb is a bit to much. I have 12 plants in a flowerbed and the tomatoes are small, 3 and 4 slices on a slice of bread. The bed is on the west side of the house. By the time they get direct sun it's hot.
I'm looking for purple hull peas to pick on halves. All the ads I see I ask, get the same reply, NO. A quart of shelled is $5 to 9. A 5 gallon bucket, half bushel is $20. A bushel is $35. We love peas, just not that much.
I have Spain's Supermart in Grenada on social media. Man, they offer some great deals, case price is better. If I had 2 or 3 more large freezers they'd be full in a month.

This place is dead and J white mentions food and 17 posts in a day. We should rename the page the Cornbread Club.

I like cornbread! Especially with cracklins

Yall help a brother out, Slab is paying me by the post. Stripping didn’t work out for me, gotta make some $$ somehow!

Guiding didn’t work out either. They kept wanting to touch my rods n stuff, and when they didn’t like my music playing on the radio, I decided I didn’t like them either and put em out on the bank to walk back to their vehicle.

You should try banking. That’s what I do for extra money. Kinda hot right now kicking widows to the curb, but it’ll cool off soon enough.
