    Default Tippah County Lake

Looking for input on Tippah County Lake. I've been once with very little luck but the lake looks very promising and my understanding is that there's a good bit of structure that has been placed throughout the lake. I have advanced electronics on my boat (FFS and 360) so finding it should not be a problem. Anybody have any experience on this lake, particularly with bass and crappie (I know it's known for its bream and readear but that's not what I'm going for)?

    Thanks in advance.

I have done fair there for crappie a few years back (4-5 years ago ) . Pretty much untapped as far as crappie goes . Lake has held state record bass (mid 80's ) blue gill at one time . Still has red ear record at 3.33 . very fertile lake . aLL black crappie ..these came from TippahName: tippah 3-21-15.jpg

Strictly a bank bound bream fisherman here, so no help on bass and crappie. I have made the occasional cast for bass and have caught some up to 3 lbs. on spinnerbaits. I've seen bigger on the nests spawning, and there appears to be a large population of bass. Haven't targeted, or even accidentally caught a crappie there yet.

Lake has many brush piles . Do not rule out a depth as you may not find them on the first ten brush piles but the eleventh one may be loaded in the same depth . Closer to the creeks makes no difference either . Very clear . Use 1/32 jifs and dead stick them . jmo.
