    Default Any Butla fans?

Been awhile, but this was always my go- to lake being only 40 minutes from my house,,,I sure do miss that thump…..been almost 5 yrs since my wife suffered multiple strokes which changed our lives at only 59 yrs of age, Though she still can’t walk ,, it sure beats the heck out of the alternative which almost stole her life away,,,she’s a real trooper…. I’m finally ready for a day off.. I can see myself fishing my favorite brush pile or ledge right now waiting for that notorious “ thump”… so be kind to your loved ones, and give them a kiss each and every time they allow you that time to just enjoy the outdoors,,, tight lines my friends, and go fishin!

I have only fished Butla a few times the first time I ever fished it was for a fruit jar and we didn’t catch the first crappie! The next year we fished it for the fruit jar went much better as we caught some really good fish and finished just out of the money! It was a impressive fishery!

See if we can get on Butla Monday or Tuesday, my boys off days. Most likely fish the gravel pit so I don't have to paddle far.

Ketchn, catch the river just right, flooding the tree line at the levy. Can walk out and put a line under the trees for some big ones.

If more of the big ones were released I could see a new record there too. I know of 3 over 4 lbs caught there, just 30 to 55 years ago.
