Watchman needed !
Was told today that a catalytic converter was taken from Engineers point on Sardis Thursday in broad daylight . Was thinking about going in the morning if I could find someone to watch my truck . Figured up the lake might be a risk but on the Dam , kind of bothers me . Dang we are going down hill faster than an elephant on roller skates .

Buddy it was happing at an alarming rate here in Ohio daylight, night etc. 6-8 at the ramps daily and shopping malls etc. They busted one guy here in Ohio and when investigators went to his house there were in excess of 1500 converters in his garage.

Coach your post is still a great reminder concerning the converter theft issue. It's terrible down here on the coast. I'm using "Very" publicly used ramps or very obscure ones. The thieves don't seem to find the obscure ramps because they are not local. The only other option is we launch in our friends back yards, several have private ramps accessing the river systems.

had mine taken last year at a wide open ramp parked within 50’ of a main 4 way highway with 2 intersections close by
in wide open daylight!
It slowed down a little since they caught one of the culprits in the next county the next day or 2 after he had been caught in our county and released .
you talking about a sick feeling coming in from trying to enjoy the outdoors and finding out this had happened. Took a while to pray through the bitterness and the hate. Sad day we living in for sure !

One of the site rules is to avoid political issues . Only leads to unfriendly comments that can destroy "Family Friendly " web site . I should have chose my words more carefully . I was stating a decline in moral values in this country is fading fast not casting blame .
