I have a couple of those rods from back then. I like them this time of year. They have a lot of backbone

I met Wally Marshall in Grenada ms. Today. We talked for a while about fishing and he showed me some of his rods from 2002 and they were a lot heaver than todays models. He is a nice guy and didn't mind me asking questions.

have spoken with him at Let's go fishing shows in IL and down at Grizzly jig in MO and he is always willing to talk and help out. he helped me swap out one of his rods who broke too easily with the GJ folks couple years ago.
He's the real deal.
Tell'em I'll be there.
Wally is really good representative for us crappie fisherman. He will take the time to talk with folks and willing to help out anyway he can. I still use one his jigging poles that has a little more backbone and you can lift out the big boys with it.

Walt, as I like to call him, is a super guy. He’s taught me a lot, about fishing, and the industry in general. He’s the hardest working guy I know in the fishing business yet he’s always eager to talk fishing. Great guy for sure.
