Arkabutla will humble the best fishermen. There’s some huge crappie in there but they can be hard to catch. If I were you, I’d go a little farther south to Sardis

Thinking about trying Bulta for the first time Saturday. Haven’t been able to fish all spring and its about to kill me! Not looking for honey holes but would appreciate guidance in which boat ramp to use and general areas. Thanks in advance!

Crappie bite twice a day. 15 minutes before I get there and 10 minutes after I leave.
The two loudest sounds are a gun that goes bang when it is supposed to go click and one that goes click when it is supposed to go bang.
If you rob Peter to pay Paul, you can generally count on Paul's vote.
Have fished the big three. Always drive past Butla and thought about doing a solo recon Saturday just to check it out and wet a hook.
With the 5 - 10 SSE winds forecast for tomorrow then Bayou Point or Kelly's Crossing would be two good ramps to use. Good luck, and keep an eye on the weather. Calling for scattered t'storms in the morning as of now.

I’ll be out there. Putting in at Hernando Point. I haven’t been on them good. But a few good fish each trip. PM me and I’ll help you out.
