    Default Helix 9 Transducer Question

Just got a helix 9 mdi g3n. Looks like the transducer is gonna be a tight fit on our minn kota maxxum 70 trolling motor. Before we swap for the trolling motor transducer, we would like to be sure that it will be able to fit on our trolling motor or if there are any other possible solutions. Thanks.

Already did. The humminbird lady just read off the sheet that said it won’t fit a trolling motor under 80 but a humminbird rep at the grizzly jig show told us it should fit so that’s why I’m not sure what to think.

I recently saw this same question asked on a Humminbird Facebook page. Concession was no it won’t fit without modifying skag. Unless you bump skag on rocks a lot it wouldn’t bother me to cut a notch into it to make it fit. The skew on those motors affect very little as far as handling or anything else. Maybe a little protection for prop but not much.
