Thread: Sardis

My brother in law and I made the trip up to Sardis 5/18 to fish the fruit jar tourney. The fishing started off slow but boy did it catch fire pretty quick. We fished from 7-2 and went through almost 8 dozen minnows, I bet there wernt but 5 or 6 left when we wrapped up to head in. We caught fish after fish but as it seems to be the norm lately many were only 11 inches. The bite seemed to have a pattern though the smaller fish would absolutly slam the pole, But when you saw that slight thump you better be quick cause it was a keeper. We ended the day with 18 nice keepers. I would hate to say how many shorts we caught but it was a bunch of them. We hooked into a couple of rather large toothy critters that put up a fight. We also managed to weigh in 5th place in the tournament! It was a great day to say the least!
