Only production glass boat designed specifically for spider rigging by crappie fishermen. Everything else is settling..............
IMHO only. Others may disagree, but having seats and rod holders attached at the BOTTOM of boat instead of 2 feet above water line on top of the deck makes all the difference when waves/wakes make other boats rock and roll.......

The higher a point is above center of roll, the more pitch will be observed. Thin of the difference in below decks on a sail boat and the top of the mast..........OR a deer stand in the wind, bottom rung barely registers the sway of the tree, but up at the top of the stand you may sway 2 feet in both directions.
How wide is the deck on that boat where the seat base or bases are? My next boat is gonna be a glass boat but I'd like for it to be a foot wider than my Xpress. Inside measurement on mine at the front seat base is 59" inside the gunwales.

Inside at flor is 59. Total width at bases is aboutName: IMG_0109.jpg

Size: 64.8 KB. Have to remember. These are mounted at bottom of boat. Floor down there is not as wide as it would be if it was at the level of the gunwales. Seat bottom is at the level of gunwales.

Makes sense. 59" is plenty of foot space but it's not enough butt space. When spider rigging in my boat, to turn around in the seat, we have to turn towards the outside, over the water.

That is the best part of this boat. Never over the water. You are down in the boat. I can reach into the water to lip a fish from my seat. I do have to stretch, though!

I have not but have always liked the width up front. The problem I see with Sea Ark is how high the sides stick out of the water. Will catch wind like a sailboat I would imagine. I run an xpress hd 20. It has one of the widest front decks out there and yet sits as low as any tin boat. We can spin around and go to back of boat between the seats or over the gunwales with no problem at all. I load it down with weights and relocated the batteries up front and it sits almost as low as a glass boat. Add a silent stalker and it will be quiet as a mouse.

There really isn't one boat out there for me. Too much duck hunting and big river catfishing in addition to the crappie fishing that prevent me from going glass. Need both I guess. Back to work I guess.

Im waiting for BRM to loan me an Xpress XBAY 21 for a season so I can test it out. That boat is the widest dang thing out there and comes with a pad hull as well. 102 inch wide at the beam and 78 on the floor. Problem is 28 inch sides. Guess that would be pretty useful when its blowing 20 mph and I have to cross Sardis. I heard Doug Wynn (crappie gills n more ) switched over to the Excel 230 Bay which is basically the same thing but 23 foot.
