    Heard the bite was good at Barnett now. It will be my first time on the lake and wanting some information on where start at? Any information will be helpful...thanks.

    Put in at Tommy Trading post, go under the bridge and look for all the other boats. Just pile in and do what they are doing. Medium Minners and REAL SLOW

    Don't go anymore than idle speed if you are out of the navigation channel

    WELL RIGHT NOW THE STUMPS ARE EASY TO SEE . SO BE EXTRA CAREFUL OUT OF THE CHANNEL MARKERS .

    What they said. Right now it really depends on the current level. If it has rained recently and the current is up then the Welfare hole is hot. Otherwise I would start somewhere along the old river channel just south of the bridge and work those ledges. Plenty of stumps and brush piles along the ledge there. Usually, if the bite is hot, there’s no question. Just look for the flotilla and join in. Welfare should hold some fish regardless of the conditions.
