I see lots of duck hunters on the TenTom Waterway. This time of year I usually wait until 8:00 or sometimes even 9:00 to launch. For two reasons. 1st it's just more comfortable on cold days 2nd, duck hunters do their thing very early and are done by the time I get out there. Never had an issue.

The two best times to fish (when it's raining & when it aint). Proud member of team GitDaFeeshGreaseKnightShadow10 thanked you for this post
I do, it is there for all of us to use and done with respect no big deal. I arrive later this time of the year simply because I do not like the cold, see duck hunters from time to time going and coming without issue. I don't understand someone saying don't go fishing on public water because its duck season just as I don't understand people griping about jet skis and ski boats. I fish early in the summer time so I don't have to deal with it as much but the water is as much mine as theirs to use.
Pretty simple, go do your thing, do it with respect for others, everyone enjoys the outdoors. Matter of fact, it's very simple and if we all treated each other with respect when on the water there would be less frustration. When frustration creeps in I go home, not there for that, I'm there to relax and enjoy what the Good Lord gave us.
Maybe when jig rig posted : "Da courteous thing to do would be to let em have their hunt. IMO"
you should have posted your "clarification", rather than your initial response of not seeing it that way.
But I do agree that respect is never out of fashion. I have had many duck hunts ruined early in the morning by fishermen. Yes, they had the right to be there, because it was public water. Ducks flare away from a spread for any of a multitude of reasons........sometimes it is by a fisherman is does not care about respect.
