Default Humminbird Update. Don’t Do It

FYI... Humminbird as their latest update (1.84) replacing software 1.64. Their are many issues with the update especially with ipilot link. I learned this the hard way. Should have done more research before updating. HB is supposedly working on a fix.

I have a Helix 9 MSI Ethernet to a Ultrex Ipilot Link. After the update, anytime the ipilot link is connected to the HB, the HB cycles on and off. Depth is also jumping all over the place. I’m not the only one experiencing this. The internet is full of users that are having the same problem.

They’ve had a problem with their depth readings for a long time. I hope they get it fixed but I don’t think it’s a priority for them.

I hope they get the link to the TM fixed. Now I have run my unit with the Ethernet unplugged which defeats the purpose of buying the i-Pilot link

Like I’ve posted before, I’ve had nothing but trouble from my Birds. Finally got em doing pretty good when I get my new SI transducer put back on. SMH.
