Default Quick question for you professional spiders

I’ve got 1/2 and 3/4 oz C&C rigs tied up to fish with this weekend I’ve heard some reports from a friend that said they were catching them fishing minnows in 20ft of water actuall catching the fish about 16ft deep. Now my question is, is 3/4 big enough to hold a minnow down to 16ft or do i need to upgrade to 1oz weightS

I'd personally go to 2 oz, I like a ounce down to 10 feet and 2oz after that, get past 20 I go to three. Speed comes into place too.

At 4 tenths MPH I can get away at 5/8 fishing 16' deep. Fishing B&M, C&C rods.
    Tell'em I'll be there.

I used a 1oz rig and did exactly what you said this week. 16’ feet down in 20+ fow going .6-1.0 mph on 16’ BnM PST rods. I did use a 1/4 roadrunner style bait on the bottom of some of my rigs with a plain hook above, two roadrunners on some rigs, and some with two plain hooks. You can always add a big split shot or two on your rig if more weight is needed with two plain hooks.

Depending on the pole, a good bit but I never have seen this as an issue, everyone wants their poles straight out. I fish heavy weights a good bit so I can cover water, very rare I'm under .8 except in the winter time or working a creek channell

Depends how fast you fish. Pushing minnows slow, 3/4 is plenty.
