Thanks for the heads up.
Bill Burnett posted on his Big River Marine Facebook page the following. He also posted a picture of a glass jar of what they pulled out of the gas tank, with obviously more water than gas.
I thought it would be a good idea to post a "heads-up" about it.

I get a call from one of my customers Saturday saying his engine won’t run and quit on him halfway across Enid Lake. I ask him about his fuel and he said he just bought fresh fuel in Sardis at the station across from McDonalds that’s regular gas, not ethanol. I think the fuel pump may have quit at that point UNTIL we drained his fuel system. Could have saved him some money if he would have checked his fuel BEFORE bringing it in, like I told him. Funny thing is, this is his 2nd time, in less than a year, with the same issue running Regular Gas!!! 🤣😂
Thx for the business my friend. I need the $$$. 🤣😂
BTW, They Won’t Run On Water, and It’s NOT a Warranty Issue Either. 😩

Thanks for the heads up.
Fish hard live hard.
That's what I run into with non ethanol gas too. I have a few glass gallon jugs that I pour in to check before pouring into my equipment. I've collected a quart of water from 15 5 gallon cans this year. I use to buy gas there since the station on the square was a lot higher. Now a station not to far from me.
Adding antifreeze only makes it ethanol gas.
I filled up twice maybe three times at that station in Sardis where old boy is talking bout this spring with non ethanol, lucky I didn't get a bad batch then. I prefer to buy my non ethanol in Hernando at Town Square Market off 51 and Commerce. God fuel, good breakfast, and I know of the old boy Dee's Oil that runs that gas to them over there, got someone to talk to if it goes that bad gas anyway. Appreciate the info, thank you sir!
That happened to me at Howies in Shelbyville. I dont think they sell enough non-ethanol and it sits and collects moisture. When it happened to me I called the credit card company and stopped payment. It was a Sand Heib station of course
On my second day trolling at Sardis when I stopped for lunch my alarm started beeping when I shifted into neutral. I looked online and it said check for water in the fuel. I pulled the cowling off and removed the filter bowl there (Yamaha fuel injected) and sure enough there was over 1/2" of water in the cup. I dumped it out then took my boat out of the water and checked my fuel/ water separator. I bought the kind with the clear bowl at the bottom. I drained it till pure gas ran out. Had half a cup or more in it. Cranked back up next day and ran like a champ. No beeping in neutral anymore. I highly recommend the separator with the water drain at the bottom.
This is Regular non ethanol gas. It was bought at the Local station Saturday morning according to my customer.

Does the heat (temperature) have anything to do with the problem. Such as condensation.
New stations have new tanks.
Old stations have old tanks. I prefer the popular stations that were built in the last 5 or so years. They have fresh product but sure sometimes that perfect station doesnt exist.
Temp definitely comes into play. Nobody nowadays would water down their gas tanks. Think about this: watch your iced tea glass as it sits on a hot day. Condensation forms on the outside of the glass. Now pour hot coffee in a jar half full and sit it in the fridge. You will see condensation on the inside of the jar. Hot inside cold outside= condensation inside. The tanks underground maintain a temp year-round of close to 55 degrees. A tanker truck loaded with hot fuel in the heat of summer unloads 90 degree Gasoline into the underground tank. Hot inside cold outside condensation forms INSIDE !
