What ounce weight do you use when power trolling with RoadRunners?

It really depends on you, how fast, how deep you are running them. Lot of choices but I would say 2 oz to start with unless you are fishing deeper than 12 feet, 3 oz past that. I like to move over a 1mph if I can.

I prefer 3/4 oz just for rigging most days, moving 0.3 to 0.5 mph. 1 1/2 oz egg sinker with (2) 1/4 oz runners gets you 2 ounces of lead, I wouldn't run that no more than 1 mph (0.8 or 0.9 preferred) lines be under the boat otherwise. The faster you want to go the more weight you will need to keep your lines at a decent angle. Get a variety of weights on sinkers and road runners and experiment, a 2 ounce weight this time of year would be a good in between for starting off with.

I made some up with 2oz and 3oz, 1/8th oz RR’s, but planning on moving a littler faster, 1-1.5mph. Need to just put em in the water and try em out.
