    Default Dead Sea ?

Went out this morning on ole Rex and tried pulling cranks. Started around 8 am and pulled till noon. Worked the weather station area over to Roses Bluff. Tried from 36 ft. out to 90. Only managed 4 catfish and no crappie bites. Two of our catfish came on a $ 6.00 Star Wars rod and reel from Dirt Cheap. What's with spending all this dough on rods and reels?????

I saw it, and I couldn't believe it! Water looks great, but the fishing is terrible!

Bad thing is that he flung that crappie mojo onto my boat and now he's off striper hunting every day. He's heading to the coast today to go shrimping . I hope they load the boat with em'. Gotta get his mojo back then get him back on my boat to break this curse....

I fished a little while Tuesday and every fish I caught was slap full of shad. Poop’n when you pulled them up full.
Had to bump them in the head to get them to bite.

Do y'all think it's an over-abundance of shad in the Rez this year or a lack of fish to keep the shad population under control?
