Power trolling jigs and minnows or pulling crank baits is good from now thru sept
My boy Gram is 6 we went on a guided fishing trip on Grenada lake last year had a blast, now my Gram decided he's ready to go back. So i got a boat we fish Bay Spring and the water way a lot. But bay springs is a different animal than Grenada I'm just looking to find out the best time to go I'm looking to go August or September is it better to go before they start letting water out or later as they run out of places to hide? Should we push tipped jigs or long line cranks that time of year? Any help would be great!!

Will be on bay springs in a.m. We been doing pretty good there . Deep of course . Running and gunning deep brush . Straight minnow ,#3 split shot 15 inches above minnow , fluorocarbon line 4 or 6 lb . For sure different than Grenada and learning curve is tougher .
Ok G if you had to pick time to go when would you go earlier or later? Yea I can fish bay springs but tight lining brush ain’t gonna work in Grenada I don’t think but to be fair I ain’t tried!! But I’ve never tried power trolling minnows in bay springs either!!
